Full time, 37.5 hours per week
Shift patterns Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm and Saturdays 8:30am- 2pm

The Cromwell Hospital is a leading private hospital in south West London providing outpatient and Inpatient service. The hospital has 180 beds and 4 suites, 6 theatres, level 2 and 3 full intensive care facilities, paediatrics, diagnostic services, physiotherapy, a dedicated day surgery unit, and private GP services.
You’ll make this happen by
A key member of the Pharmacy Stores and Distribution Team you will assist in the provision of a comprehensive pharmacy stores service which consistently meets the needs of all service users. You will contribute to the efficient day to day running of the area, working under the supervision of a Senior Pharmacy Technician.
The pharmacy assistant will assist with the distribution of stock drugs to wards and departments and participate in delivery of the purchasing and stock maintenance function of the pharmacy department.
This role will be flexible between the pharmacy locations to ensure that a consistent high quality, effective and safe service is delivered to all our customers.
- To participate in delivery of the purchasing and stock maintenance function of the pharmacy stores department.
- To process and co-ordinate the wholesale orders, direct purchasing and deliveries
- To assist with the distribution of stock drugs to wards and departments.
- To build strong, professional relationships with our Direct and Wholesaler suppliers.
- To resolve issues, problems, or queries with Direct and Wholesaler suppliers in a timely manner with accuracy to detail.
- To support and assist in identifying and implementing service improvements.
- This is a key role to the pharmacy service to minimise medicines shortages and delays to patient care.
- Assisting the procurement team in managing out of stock and suggesting clinically and financially suitable alternatives.
- All processes must be in line with GPhC, MHRA, RPS, Home Office and CH SOP standards.
Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role;
- Btec Pharmaceutical Sciences, or NVQ Level 2 Pharmacy Assistant (essential)
- Proven experience in a pharmacy purchasing role
- Organised, analytical and proactive.
- Open mind in problem solving.
- Accurate and concise written and oral communication skills
- Willing to learn and self-develop.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
