*The Lexicon Express will operate seven days a week, with operating times varying according to seasonal considerations. We are therefore looking to fill two positions and can offer some flexibility in working patterns for the right candidates.
About the Role:
Are you looking for a unique and exciting opportunity to bring joy to visitors of all ages? We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Lexicon Express Ambassador to operate and care for the Lexicon Express—a brand-new, battery-powered, trackless train at The Lexicon, Bracknell. As part of the Services Team, you will play a key role in creating a memorable experience for our guests while ensuring the safe and smooth operation of the train.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate the Lexicon Express in accordance with all safety and operational guidelines.
- Provide excellent customer service, engaging with visitors and ensuring they have a fun and enjoyable experience.
- Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the train.
- Assist with queue coordination as needed.
- Carry out routine checks and minor maintenance on the train to ensure it remains in good working condition.
- Collect fares (cashless) from passengers and ensure smooth transaction processing.
- Physically manoeuvre the train carriages at the start and end of the day to ensure proper setup and storage.
- Work collaboratively with the Services Team to support other events and activities when required.
What We’re Looking For:
- A full, clean driving license (essential).
- Flexibility to work varying times and days, including weekends and holidays.
- Strong customer service skills with a warm and welcoming personality.
- A cheerful disposition and a passion for creating enjoyable experiences.
- Resourcefulness and resilience to handle challenges and ensure smooth operations.
- Physical robustness to safely manoeuvre train carriages when required.
