Reporting to the Head of Financial Accounting, we are looking to recruit an Assistant Accountant on a permanent basis.
More about your role
On a daily basis, you will support the Financial Policy and Compliance Lead in the completion of various finance, accounting, and statutory compliance tasks.
As well as supporting the preparation of audit files (and dealing with audit queries), you will assist in the the production of financial statements and other ad hoc reports as required. Ensuring financial documentation is presented in a clear and concise manner is also a key part of this role.
At Places for People, we prioritise our dedication to safer recruitment. Therefore, a basic DBS check is mandatory for this position.
More about you
The ideal candidate will good accounting knowledge and possess a valid qualification. Experience in accounting and reporting complex groups as well as proficiency with IT packages is also desired.
Experience & Skills
- A recognised accounting qualification e.g. ACA, ACCA or CIMA,
- A proven track record of accounting and reporting complex groups,
- Strong IT skills,
- Excellent communication skills,
- Stakeholder management skills.
