Duties 1. Clinical Perform clinical duties as requested including but not limited to ECG, Lung Function, Phlebotomy, Ear Irrigation, Chain of Custody urine testing, Urine Analysis, dressings removal of sutures. Undertake essential measurements such as height, weight and body composition including BMI and tissue hydration Gain valid informed consent for assessment and treatment interventions in line with national and local policy. Apply infection control measures within the practice according to local and national guidelines. Make entries in the patients’ medical records as appropriate following local and national polices. Recognise own limitation and request assistance as necessary Chaperone as required Report Variances in patient’s condition immediately to a relevant professional. Liaise with clients and when appropriate discuss the results of the test carried out. Log all data and results for each client onto the various systems Be aware of the patients’ needs, care and support Stock checks, ordering and reconcile deliveries. Duties 2. Professional Prioritise, organise and manage own workload in a manner that maintains and promotes quality, risk and safety. Maintain confidentiality relating to the affairs of HCA Primary Care. Its patients or consultants users except with a written permission of the HCA Primary Care or otherwise as required by law such as cases involving safeguarding. Recognise limitation, incompetency and consult others as necessary. To maintain own clinical competence, ensuring up to date knowledge on clinical treatment and technologies. Working with the Head of Nursing and governance team to ensure patient safety culture through managing incident/complaints/near misses and audits ensuring the ownership of quality monitoring and service delivery. Demonstrate an awareness of the needs and priorities of both co-workers, both within the team and other teams; coordination and cooperating with other colleagues. To attend and participate in departmental meetings and contribute to issues relating to quality of care, technical standards and efficiency and improvements as applied to own area of technical work. Duties 3. Compliance Monitor and maintain stock levels Clean and check equipment, report faults Undertake compliance checks including fridge and room temperatures, emergency and resus equipment as per national and local guidelines Undertake compliance audits as per local guidelines Calibration of diagnostic equipment as per requirements, daily, weekly, monthly and report any faults. Undertake and stay up to date with mandatory training. Clean equipment before and after use Weekly trolley and fridge cleaning.
