ROLE OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE
As a Shopping Centre Waste Operative, you will play a vital role in maintaining cleanliness and efficiency within our shopping centre locations, ensuring that our waste management practices align with our commitment to excellence. This position is essential for supporting our tailored facility solutions that not only meet but exceed the expectations of our clients, promoting a sustainable environment while providing opportunities for personal and professional growth within our esteemed company.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct regular waste collection and disposal duties throughout the shopping centre.
- Sort and categorize waste materials according to recycling and disposal guidelines.
- Monitor waste levels in bins and initiate timely collections to prevent overflow.
- Ensure that waste management areas are kept tidy and organized at all times.
- Collaborate with other facility staff to implement best practices in waste management.
- Report any maintenance issues with waste bins or collection areas to the management.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations while handling waste materials in the shopping centre.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Previous experience in waste management or a similar role is preferred.
- Strong understanding of waste disposal and recycling practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Strong communication skills to interact with management and other staff.
- Physical fitness and ability to carry out manual tasks related to waste handling.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and holidays.
