We are seeking an Assistant Facilities Manager to support the safe, compliant, and efficient delivery of facilities services in line with client contract requirements.
Reporting to the Regional Facilities Manager, this role will oversee and support onsite facilities staff (Placemakers) and contractors across a defined regional area.

You’ll play a key role in ensuring a high standard of service delivery while fostering a positive workplace experience for all building users.
This position requires strong leadership, operational focus, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.

Key Responsibilities
Support contract management with service delivery, system development, and identifying improvement opportunities.
Oversee rostering, recruitment, training, and performance of Placemakers to ensure full site coverage and compliance.
Maintain all site documentation (H&S, COSHH, SOPs, audits), ensuring reviews and updates are completed on time.
Ensure a safe and secure working environment in line with health and safety legislation and company policies.
Manage customer queries and complaints by the agreed process and service standards.
Control costs across labour, materials, and agency usage, while driving additional revenue and margin improvement.
Lead mobilisation activities, including TUPE processes, while ensuring compliance and succession planning across teams.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
Experience supervising teams in a facilities or cleaning services environment
Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently while following management direction
Clear understanding of how service delivery impacts overall contract success
Performance-focused, with the ability to manage service outcomes effectively
Proactive in identifying and implementing service improvements
Strong problem-solving skills with a calm, resilient approach
Effective communicator with experience in leading and motivating teams
Capable of monitoring team and individual performance to ensure targets are achieved
