Full Time 30 Hours Per Week – Including Weekends
We are looking for a Trainee Cook or Commis Chef Apprentice, to assist in the kitchen, learning and developing culinary skills under the guidance of experienced chefs. Their duties involve preparing ingredients, cooking dishes according to recipes, maintaining a clean workspace, and adhering to food safety and hygiene standards. This role provides a foundation for a career in the culinary arts

- Basic Kitchen Skills: Understanding of basic cooking techniques and food safety principles
Key Responsibilities:
Food Preparation:
Assisting in the preparation of ingredients, such as chopping vegetables, portioning meat, and preparing sauces.
Learning and executing basic cooking tasks, including preparing simple dishes like salads and entrees, and following recipes for more complex dishes
- Maintaining a Clean and Organized Kitchen:
Washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and ensuring the kitchen remains clean and orderly throughout the shift
- Adhering to Food Safety and Hygiene Standards:
Learning and applying food safety procedures, including monitoring food temperatures, proper storage, and maintaining personal hygiene
- Assisting in All Areas of the Kitchen
Supporting other chefs and team members in various tasks as needed, ensuring a smooth workflow in the
- kitchen Learning and Development:
Actively participating in training, observing experienced chefs, and developing culinary skills and knowledge
