The Gatehouse Theatre is a provincial theatre in the heart of Stafford. It has a busy received season showing a variety of Music, Comedy and Drama and is known for punching above its weight when it comes to produced shows. Currently the theatre produces 3 studio Youth theatre shows and 1 main house summer school per year, not forgetting it’s acclaimed annual Shakespeare show which attracts famous actors from around the world.
Whilst ambitions are high when we produce, our heart is with the local community. We work closely with our local amateur dramatics and dance schools to make their shows the best that they can be. We run community engagement projects such as our afternoon film days which aim to combat loneliness and we support local charities.
