Job Title: Social Worker – Learning Disabilities Team

Pay Rate: £32.53 per hour
Job Description:
Liquid Personnel is recruiting a Qualified Social Worker for its client’s Learning Disabilities Team at the London Borough of Tower Hamlets.
This is a 6-month post aimed at addressing the backlog of Care Act reviews within the Community Learning Disability Service—currently totaling 475 outstanding reviews across three teams. This is a great opportunity for experienced professionals to make a meaningful impact in a high-demand area.
What will your responsibilities be?
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of individuals with learning disabilities to determine their needs and eligibility for services.
- Develop and implement personalized care plans in collaboration with service users, their families, and other professionals.
- Prioritize and manage a caseload of individuals on the waiting list, ensuring timely interventions and support.
- Work collaboratively with healthcare providers, educational institutions, and community organizations to coordinate services and resources.
- Monitor and review care plans regularly to ensure they meet the evolving needs of service users.
- Respond to safeguarding concerns and take appropriate action to protect vulnerable individuals.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions and interventions.
- Provide emotional and practical support to service users and their families.
- Advocate for the rights and needs of individuals with learning disabilities.
- Participate in regular training and professional development activities.

Qualifications & Experience:
To be successful in this role you must have,
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a related field.
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Experience in working with individuals with learning disabilities.
- Strong understanding of relevant legislation and policies, including the Care Act 2014.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Empathy, patience, and a commitment to supporting individuals with learning disabilities.
