We are seeking a Business Support Assistant Manager for the Coordinated Health Risk Intervention Service (CHRIS). This is a valuable opportunity to support service delivery and best practice until the end of the contract in March 2026. You will be required to complete a range of comprehensive administrative and financial duties to support the efficient delivery of services within CHRIS.

Your role and responsibilities

CHRIS is a risk support service which will focus upon the risk assessment and stabilisation of risk. As such, interventions and approaches will be focused upon risk assessment, formulation, management and stabilisation as opposed to providing longer-term therapeutic treatment, which is more appropriate for CYP and families to access within other services.

You will be:

  • Providing comprehensive administrative and financial support to the team, including managing invoicing and funding from external providers.
  • Ensuring the team remains compliant with corporate checks, with all documentation securely stored and communicated in line with organisational requirements.
  • Assisting and line managing Business Support Coordinators in collating and submitting relevant returns and information for corporate functions and service-wide teams, ensuring deadlines and ad hoc requests are met. This includes supporting invoice processing and other financial tasks.
  • Planning, organising and supporting countywide, central, and external meetings/events, ensuring all administrative aspects are effectively managed, including note-taking and distribution to appropriate attendees.
  • Supporting the creation and production of templates, publications, and materials that contribute to external communications, marketing, and business support management functions.

You can view a full list of requirements in theJob and Person Profile (Word). If you believe you can succeed in this role, apply. Even if you don't meet all requirements, still apply. We would appreciate the opportunity to consider your application.

The team

You’ll be joining a passionate and dedicated team within Suffolk County Council’s Children and Young People Services. The CHRIS service is:

  • a risk support service focused on assessment, formulation, management, and stabilisation of risk
  • designed to provide short-term crisis intervention rather than long-term therapeutic treatment
  • multi-disciplinary, working across professional boundaries to support children, families, and practitioners
  • committed to a whole-system approach that meets needs at any stage of a young person’s journey.
