WORKING HOURS: 16 hours per week

SHIFT PATTERN: Saturday and Sunday, 08:00 am - 16:00

PAY RATE: £12.21 per hour

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

• Vacuum communal landings, corridors, and staircases daily to maintain a clean and welcoming environment.

• Clean and tidy the building’s reception area, ensuring floors, surfaces, and glass are spotless.

• Maintain cleanliness in residents’ communal areas including lounges, shared kitchens and toilets.

• Sweep and mop staircases and entrance areas, ensuring safety and hygiene.

• Empty rubbish bins from communal areas and dispose of waste in designated collection points.

• Monitor and report any maintenance issues such as broken lights, leaks, or damage to communal spaces.

• Replenish supplies such as bin liners where needed.

• Ensure cleaning equipment is used correctly, cleaned after use, and stored safely.

• Follow Health & Safety procedures and use appropriate PPE at all times.

• Maintain a professional and respectful attitude when interacting with residents and building staff.

• Attend any required training sessions related to cleaning standards and safety procedures.

Person Specification:

• High attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean and safe environment.

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

• Reliable, punctual, and proactive in identifying and resolving issues.

• Good communication skills and respectful approach to working in residential settings.

• Physically fit and able to carry out cleaning duties including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.

• Previous experience in residential or commercial cleaning is desirable.

• Willingness to undertake training and adapt to building-specific procedures.

Essential Requirements:

• Provide a 5-year checkable reference history.

• Right to work in the UK.

• Willingness to wear PPE and follow all clinic safety protocols.

• Basic understanding of English for safety and communication purposes.
