Walton Medical Centre are looking for an experienced heath care assistant to join our busy and rewarding medical centre. This role can be offered on a full-time or part-time basis, with flexibility on days and hours.
The role will include the following;
- Assisting patients with clinical requirements
- Liaising with clinical staff for healthcare needs
- Carrying out health checks
- Updating clinical systems
About the Candidate
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and pro-active health care assistant. The ideal candidate would have the following experience:
- Diploma in Health and Social Care Level 2
- Experience of working with, and building up working relationships with GP’s, nursing and admin staff.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Ability to work well on their own as well as working in a team, and must have a strong understanding of confidentiality.

We also work as three collaborative Primary Care Networks (PCN’s) which span across Colchester and Tendring:
- Ambrose Avenue Group Practice, Riverside Medical Centre and Ardleigh Surgery
- Mersea Island Medical Practice, Tiptree Medical Centre and Rowhedge Medical Centre
- Walton Medical Centre, Colne Medical Centre and Wivenhoe Medical Centre
There is a wide socio-economic and demographic served within this area which will provide an interesting and varied case mix. You will be joining an enthusiastic team of clinicians and administrators. You will be well supported with on-going professional development (training support, CPD and peer support). The role will contribute to the improving quality of care of our patients across the network of practices.
