Hemel Hempstead Driver - Class1 Nights

An exciting opportunity has arisen for Class 1 driver for a contract based out of Hemel Hempstead. This challenging and interesting role will appeal to an individual with the drive, agility, and energy to deliver operational excellence and customer satisfaction. This role will appeal to an individual who loves working in a friendly fast-paced team. This team is part of our Home Delivery Network, we store and deliver carpets on behalf of some well-known brands. Salary - £50k - £52k 

Night Shift – Trunking Flexible 20.00-23:00 – 09:00 Sunday to Thursday

The Role

• Responsible for the accurate, timely movement and delivery of our customers’ products
• Adhering to safe working practices to ensure the safety of yourself and others at all times
• Securing load of the trailer to ensure products are safely secured to minimise chances of damage
• Ensure that all paperwork is signed, and any agreed returns are collected and loaded
• Provide excellent customer service at all times and to take ownership of customer issues on delivery
• Conduct through pre and post vehicle checks, raising any defects to the attention of Transport Office
• Participate in any training to carry out the Driver role safely and within expectations

The Person

 A valid in date Class 1 licence

• To hold a Digital tachograph card
• Wagon & Drag draw bar experience preferable but not essential
• To have no more than 6 points on your licence
• Good customer facing awareness skills
• To be a good timekeeper and able to work unsupervised
• Enthusiasm and reliability
• Good communication skills and a flexible can-do attitude to work
• Great geographical knowledge
