Cedars Park Primary School is part of The Oxlip Learning Partnership and is based in mid-Suffolk. All schools within the trust are located in an area of regeneration and rapid expansion. The trust presently comprises of 8 schools, with three SEND centres for support with cognition and learning.

 

Your Role

We are looking for a skilled HLTA who can teach PE lessons as well as lessons in the wider curriculum for pupils EYFS to Year 6. You will have expertise/specialism in Sport demonstrating sound knowledge of the National PE Curriculum. In addition, to organise and run sports clubs for an hour a day after school 3 days a week and two half hour lunch time sessions.

 

Your responsibilities

We are looking for applicants who are flexible, calm and well organised. You should work well in a team and be able to use your own initiative when required. You will lead the teaching of regular timetabled sessions/classes under the direction of the class teacher 

 

You will need:

  • to have a good understanding of classroom management and the ability to successfully follow the school’s behaviour policy
  • good subject knowledge, especially in PE as well as wider curriculum subjects
  • good organisational and communication skills
  • to work well as a team member but also use considerable initiative and contribute to planning where appropriate
  • to be sensitive to the needs of all children
  • show a commitment to support the ethos of the school
  • an ability to implement its policies, including safeguarding, child protection, equal opportunities and health and safety, curriculum, first aid.
