About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Capability department in a full-time permanent position as an L&D Helpdesk Advisor, based from the Nottingham Support Office. We're looking for a communicator and problem-solver to handle learner queries about learning and development activity and content across various platforms, with the goal of providing genuine care.

 

This role reports into our Helpdesk Team Leader and sits within the Capability Shared Service team which, as well as handling learner-related queries, is also responsible for the design, delivery and administration of L&D programmes and content. Together, the Shared Service team supports the work of the wider department in increasing the capability of all Boots team members in line with the changing needs of the business and our customers.

 

Key responsibilities

• Handling Boots Care Learning queries for Care Home customers.

• Creating user accounts in bulk for newly-acquired care home partners.

• Creating user accounts for individual care home new joins.

• Handling learner-related queries for Boots team members.

• Recording information accurately in the contact management system.

• Processing information access requests for training data.

 

What you'll need to have

  • First and foremost, you need to be a brilliant problem-solver; able to own and resolve issues independently to keep escalations to a minimum, naturally spotting better ways of doing things and adapting quickly to changing circumstances and priorities.

  • You'll need a genuine sense of care for other people (both team members and learners); being really motivated to understand them, their needs and how you can best help them.

  • You need feel confident about communicating by phone, email and face-to-face and know how to adapt your style to suit different situations.

  • In terms of technical skills, you'll need to be a confident computer-user and a pro at learning new systems quickly.

  • You need to be someone who naturally pays attention to detail and takes pride in the accuracy of your work.

  • Finally, you need to be a strong team player; willing to pitch in and support your team members as needed.
