  • Hours: Part Time. 8.15 am to 3.30 pm (additional hours available for wraparound provision)

Due to the increasing number of children on role, we need you to lead the EYFS team at Helmingham Primary School and to support the delivery of exceptional provision across our nursery and reception. At Helmingham, the outdoor learning is incredibly valued, and we would like new staff to embed this in everyday practice. This is an excellent opportunity to learn and share best practice in a small rural setting where skills and initiative are valued and we focus on the development of the whole child.

 

Requirements

We are looking for a Level 3+ Early Years practitioner who:

  • has current knowledge of EYFS requirements, policy and legislation
  • can lead with the planning and delivery of the curriculum using the EYFS curriculum and school topic structures for guidance
  • has a real passion and drive for working with and educating children
  • demonstrates outstanding classroom practice
  • holds a relevant level 3 or above childcare qualification
  • can commit to attendance at regular staff meetings and safeguarding training sessions
  • can adhere to policies and procedures and follow GDPR guidelines
  • can maintain confidentiality
  • has good mathematics, English and ICT skills
  • demonstrates good communication skills, both verbally and in writing
  • uses own initiative and support day-to-day nursery room routines
  • are skilled in supporting children’s learning, including pupils with SEND
  • has a desire to progress professional development and skills and to participate in nursery and trust CPD opportunities
  • has a good understanding of safeguarding processes and procedures
  • believes in building strong parent partnerships to provide cohesive learning to children
  • is willing to travel to other school sites as required.

Qualifications

  • Level 3 or higher in Early Years Childcare         
  • Grade C /4+ mathematics and English
  • Good level of computer literacy
  • Paediatric First Aid (preferable)
