We currently have two permanent vacancies to join our team of Mobile Commercial Caterers.

  • Post 1 - based at Bankhead, Glenrothes - 15 hours per week as required - covering commercial units only. Will involve working between Bankhead, Michael Woods, Fife House & events at Kirkcaldy Townhouse. Some Weekend & evening work required.
  • Post 2 - based at Michael Woods, Glenrothes - 15 hours per week as required - covering commercial units only. Will involve working between Bankhead, Michael Woods, Fife House & events at Kirkcaldy Townhouse. Some Weekend & evening work required.

Enhancements are paid for hours worked at weekends and after 8:00pm.

You will earn a competitive salary of £24,740.74 pro-rata and have access to a range of benefits, including:

  • We pay the Scottish Local Government Living Wage of £13.18 per hour for this post, plus extra payments for shift work, including weekends.
  • Pay is 4 weekly and annualised.

This work is about providing customer service, in a busy catering environment.

Ensuring visitors and staff are catered for accordingly - this involves preparing and serving simple meals, snacks and beverages to clients and recording any payments.

All on the job training is given – as well as working towards a Food Hygiene Certificate qualification

The Person

Cash handling, literacy and numeracy skills are essential along with teamwork and the ability to provide a regular and effective service.

Due to the nature of the role, flexibility is essential. Being able to work in various team dynamics or working on your own and being able to use your initiative is advantageous.

You will be required to attend an induction training day before starting in post.

Ability to travel throughout the designated area within a limited timescale.
