Static Cleaner

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Cardiff to assist with the appointment of a Static Cleaner, on a 3-month contract, likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £12.21 - £15.77 per hour

Hours Per Week :18.50

Summary:

The Static Cleaner will be responsible for delivering a high standard of cleaning and caretaking services within communal areas of designated static blocks of flats in Cardiff. The postholder will ensure that all areas are maintained to a clean, safe, and hygienic standard, contributing to the overall wellbeing of residents and visitors. The role also involves supporting Cardiff Councils commitment to high-quality customer service, health and safety standards, and continuous improvement in service delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality cleaning of communal areas within residential blocks, including stairwells, corridors, lifts, and shared facilities.
• Take full responsibility for completing allocated cleaning tasks efficiently and to required standards.
• Comply with all Health & Safety regulations and Cardiff Council policies.
• Conduct basic risk assessments for work areas and tasks to maintain a safe environment for staff, residents, and the public.
  
• Liaise daily with the Building/Mobile Supervisor regarding operational issues, anti-social behaviour (ASB), or tenancy concerns.
• Undertake training and coaching to achieve British Institute of Cleaning Science (BICSc) standards.

Requirements:

• Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
• Experience in a domestic, commercial, or residential cleaning environment.
• Experience of interacting with customers and maintaining positive working relationships.
• Familiarity with using industrial cleaning tools and equipment.

• You should have right to work in U.K
• This role requires a Basic DBS
