ROLE:                                 Teaching Assistant EYFS Phase with opportunities to develop skills to support across primary range.

                                     SCHOOL:                           Westover Primary School

                                     HOURS:                             Monday to Friday term time only 8.30-3.15 

 

                                     CONTRACT:                      Permanent

                                     SALARY:                            PCC Band 3 £24,796 to £25,201 FTE

                                     CLOSING DATE:               Friday 7th November

                                     START DATE:                    As soon as possible pending all checks

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant Early Years team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within EYFS children’s development through play, exploration, and structured learning.

JOB/PERSON SUMMARY:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality early years education.
  • Assist in planning and implementing engaging activities aligned with the EYFS framework.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to children with varying needs.
  • Observe and record children’s progress, contributing to assessments and reports.
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.

We’re Looking For Someone Who:

  • Has experience working with children in an Early Years setting (school or nursery).
  • Has good Maths and English skills
  • Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Is patient, caring, and committed to supporting every child’s potential.
  • Works well as part of a team and shows initiative.
