Could you be our next Temporary Category Assistant?

Do you have a passion for retail? Do you enjoy working as part of a creative and energetic team? Would you like to work within the creative, dynamic and constantly evolving greeting card and gift wrap market?

We have a fantastic opportunity to join the dedicated Tesco Team at UK Greetings as a Category Assistant on a temporary basis. If you are self-motivated and have an eye for detail, then you might be the perfect fit! Supporting the Category Controller, you will use sales data and your own creative flair to help build eye-catching greeting card displays.

This is a temporary position expected to last approximately 9-12 months.
 

The Category Assistant role is an occasionally customer-facing role, and some travel will be involved, so a full UK driving licence is required.

The key duties of the role include:

  • Assisting the Category Controllers with analysing sales data and making suggestions for change.

  • Collation of samples and product information for customer presentations.

  • Competitor and product trend analysis.

Essential Requirements:

  • Full UK driving licence.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Good Excel skills.

  • The ability to work to strict deadlines with good attention to detail.

  • Keen eye for market trends.

  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and multitask.
