Skills
I have worked as a supermarket colleague for over 16 months. Initially I was taken on a temporary
contract from November 2022 to January 2023. Sections I worked on were checkouts, chilled and
bread/cakes. I was then taken on as a permanent employee in January 2023 where my main role
was a bakery assistant. My time in these varied workplaces has taught me essential standards for
hygiene and workplace attitude and being familiar with dealing with customers and responding to
their needs. With most of my time spent in the bakery where roles are less flexible, coordinating
and functioning as a team was essential to my work as well as managing workflows efficiently to fill
shelves and prepare products as soon as possible. I like to work on my feet and enjoy being mobile,
as well as having an eye for presentation whether that be the layout of the shelves or the packaging
of products.
About
I am a proactive and eager person, valuing experiences and experiments and always contemplating what I've learnt. I am more than capable working independently or as part as a coordinated team, as my experience in retail work and sixth form has taught me. I'll always consider myself up to the task and willing to give my best. Currently I am studying a Climate, Sustainability and Environmental Management and hope to work in future tackling the global climate emergency.
