About
I have worked with my step dad who is a subcontractor to assist on a home project.
Erecting an outbuilding. I was involved with the project from start to finish .
My role involved measuring to laying the foundations, following instructions and keeping the area tidy.
I gained a vital insight and understanding of how important every task is. This helped me to develop
listening skills, build on my knowledge skills and to develop practical skills whilst working on my own
initiative.
I have also gained experience in a timber factory . Using a machine under strict supervision, cutting
timber, once measure to the desired lengths. Carrying timer whilst following Health and safety procedures
at all times.
I learned practical skills and techniques by shadowing my boss, to understand operations policy and
procedures.
Hammer hand weekend experience-
Sienzo Construction-
I worked on a building site on weekends during holidays. I gained experience working with a team. My
role was keeping the site areas tidy at all times, carrying timber, and placing tcp around the kits
