Through my part-time work as a garage workshop assistant, I developed a strong set of skills that I believe will transfer perfectly to a Sales Assistant role at JD. I built excellent communication and customer service skills by working directly with customers and ensuring their needs were met to a high standard. Teamwork was a key part of the workshop environment, just as it is in retail, and I am confident working closely with others to achieve shared goals. I’m used to working under pressure and staying organised in busy, fast-paced environments, especially during tight deadlines. My attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and adaptability allowed me to handle different tasks every day, and I bring a positive attitude and resilience to every challenge. Having worked in a physically demanding role, I am also prepared for the active nature of a sales floor. I am always willing to take initiative, learn quickly, and stay motivated, making me ready to contribute positively to the team at JD.
