Owen Aluoch
Skills
Through my experience at House of Fraser and Next, I have developed strong skills in customer service, stock management, and teamwork. At House of Fraser, I built my customer service skills by helping customers with their purchases, answering queries, and making sure they had a positive experience in-store. At Next, I worked mainly with deliveries, efficiently processing stock, organizing the stockroom, and ensuring the shop floor was fully replenished. In both roles, I showed strong attention to detail, managed my time well during busy periods, and worked flexibly when needed. I also improved my communication skills by working closely with different teams and solving problems quickly when issues came up. Overall, these experiences have made me confident, adaptable, and ready to contribute to a busy retail environment like JD.
About
I'm currently studying Cyber Security at De Montfort University, and I have a strong background in customer service, retail, and teamwork. I've worked in fast-paced retail environments like House of Fraser and most recently Next at Fosse Park, where I supported the delivery team, helped process stock, and maintained store standards. I have key skills in customer service, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving. I’m used to working flexible hours, handling stock, and supporting customers in-store. I’m reliable, hardworking, and always ready to learn new things quickly. I’m passionate about fashion and retail, and I take pride in giving customers the best experience possible. I believe my experience in both customer-facing and stock roles would make me a strong fit for JD Sports.
