Skills
In the past I have worked for Haven Thorpe Park where I worked as a welcome host. I was the first person that people would see as they would arrive and my job was to give a brief introduction to the park as well explain how newcomers acquire their keys to their holiday homes and then provide them with precise directions to their designated spots, sometimes even in the pouring rain. I would do this hundreds of times during a single shift. My most recent job was as an Evri Courier driver and in the past I have also worked in retail... I am very much used to and comfortable with interacting with strangers on a regular basis and catering to their requirements in the many fields I've worked in. I've had almost nothing but positive experiences with customers in the past but I am also equipped to assist anyone who might not be in the best of moods. I'm calm and patient and nobody yet has gotten a rise out of me when I'm focused on the job.
I am more than competent when it comes to working with computers and sometimes even troubleshooting and fixing them if needed. I'm also my grandmas best tech support.
Admittedly I have yet to be in a position that involves handling cash but I'm confident in my mathematical skills and management should I ever be in such a position.
About
I am on the autism spectrum and was diagnosed when I was 4 years old but through hard work and speech therapy in my younger years I've been able to prevail over a lot of my shortcomings. My only weaknesses related to my autism being loud and consistent piecing noises such as industrial machinery which can cause me stress over long periods of time but busy crowds and fire alarms are not an issue and even these hiccups I feel I'm being able to cope with more and more as time goes on. Sometimes I can be a bit too literal unless my instructions are clear, which has led to hilarious results in the past.
Despite all that, I take pride in not letting my disability define me and I've been told many times that people were surprised when they find out I'm autistic after meeting me.
I'm a creative person, I draw and world build in my downtime. I play guitar and have aspirations of becoming an online presence with my art and creativity someday.
I signed up for this role because it seems like a calmer work environment than what I am already accustomed to and there's nothing in the job description that I've not already done in some shape or form in the past, it sounds just right for me.
