PREVIOUS JOBS
Royal Mail Delivery Driver (December 2024 – January 2025)
As a full-time Delivery Driver with Royal Mail, during this seasonal break, my main responsibilities were delivering letters and parcels both on foot, and in the van to the said addresses and being back to the delivery office at a specific time. This strengthened my time management skills and enabled me to connect and interact more with workers and customers. This boosted my confidence in making conversation with people.
Moonpig Warehouse - Tamworth (December 2024 – December 2024)
During December, I undertook training at Moonpig Warehouse, where I was trained in picking. I learnt how to use a PDA Scanner, used to scan items from the warehouse. Due to the time constraints of picking items within a specific time frame, I learnt how to be strategic in planning. This also improved my time management skills and efficiency as I was able to complete all orders within the time.
Get Families Talking – Smartlyte Ltd (BBC/NHS) (July 2021 – July 2023)
As a part-time Video Creator with Smartlyte, my main responsibilities were creating animated videos. The animations I created were uploaded to the website, available in different languages to reach a wider audience. Successfully creating animated videos has allowed me to enhance my digital skills of creating informative videos whilst also using AI to develop scripts.
WORK EXPERIENCE
HS2 with FUSION VWEX (August 2020)
During my summer break of 2020, I completed two weeks’ virtual work experience with HS2 in partnership with FUSION. Unfortunately, due to lockdown and COVID regulations, the work experience was moved online, however, this enabled me to communicate and interact with others and work collaboratively. During my time here, I had the opportunity to design the placement of a railway track and present our idea. This project not only tested our ability to work together, but also tested how efficiently we solved external problems that would affect the design. This included re-routing the track so as not to harm endangered species.
ARCADIS (August 2019)
I completed a one-week work experience program at Arcadis, where I learned a lot about the multifaceted character of a top design and consulting company. I gained knowledge about how specialized software is used to compute areas and determine the materials required for various projects during my tenure by observing and interacting with several departments. I now have a thorough awareness of how technology is integrated into project planning and execution, as well as the value of accuracy and teamwork across several engineering and design disciplines, thanks to this experience.
