Adaptability and Communication skills: Tailoring the way, I communicate with customers, in order to provide the best customer service. This is important because it helps customers receive the best support and help that they need with effective communication. One example of when i used communication skills was in college when we were working on a project and I was project manager meaning that i had to email and call in other stakeholders for resources and funds. This made my communication skills improve a lot as i had to do this a few times a week for 5-6 months.
Patience: Volunteering in package assembly especially tested my patience on one occasion. This instance stands out when we were faced with a shortage of supplies just days before a major distribution event. Many volunteers felt disheartened, and some were considering abandoning the effort. I recognised the importance of maintaining a calm and positive attitude during stressful situations. I reassured the team that we could work together to find solutions rather than give up. I took the time to listen to everyone’s concerns and thought of different alternative methods, such as reaching out to local businesses for last-minute donations. We ended up securing enough supplies to meet our goal, and witnessing everyone’s relief and joy reinforced my belief that patience and perseverance are invaluable in challenging times.
Team Working: I love team working as i love communicating with people and this gives me an opportunity to lead the team, and being a team leader or manager is one my long term goals in the future.
