How you’ll play a part.
As an experienced payroll advisor, you will bring your expertise to provide a high-quality payroll service to all colleagues and ensure an excellent colleague experience. You will support the People Operations Supervisor in the delivery of an efficient, accurate and timely payroll service, providing expert advice on payroll legislation. You will take pride in your attention to detail and providing a high level of service to our colleagues ensuring they are paid on time and accurately. You will be a payroll professional who is looking for your next challenge and have a desire to join a team that has a strong emphasis on customer service and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process the end-to-end payroll for UK payrolls and relevant reporting to ensure all colleagues are paid correctly and on time.
- Build relationships and liaise with payroll third-party suppliers across relevant locations.
- Process all new hires, leavers, absence, statutory leave, pay, etc.
- Process and reconcile all fixed pay instructions e.g., basic salary changes, pay uplifts, etc.
- Produce regular and ad hoc management information reports and payroll reports as required.
- Provide support to colleagues with payroll/benefits queries, etc. via our shared People team mailbox.
- Ensure GDPR compliance is followed at all times.
- Striving for excellence, whilst continuously improving delivery of payroll services, in collaboration with the People Operations Supervisor.
What you’ll bring:
- Proven track record of working in a similar role.
- Have an understanding of payroll statutory and legislative regulations.
- A knowledge of UK tax legislation.
- Have proven experience of working to tight deadlines.
- Excellent organisational skills, including strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise and manage your own workload.
- Knowledge of HR software and systems is an advantage.
- A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with discretion.

Reporting to the People Operations Supervisor, you will work closely with stakeholders, both from across the business and within your own team.
Some rituals the team has in place to stay connected include:
- Monthly 1:1s with your manager
- Regular retrospectives to review how things are going for you and as a team.
- Quarterly planning activities.
This is a part-time, permanent position, working 25 hours per week over five days (Monday to Friday). The role is hybrid, and your contractual office base will be our Meadowside office in Dundee.
