EHR Medical Subject Matter Expert (SME) Oncology Location: 1 London Bridge with expectations to visit other sites / some remote weekly working too. Contract Type: Fixed Term until February 2026 Full-time: 37.5 hours per week HCA Healthcare UK is seeking a passionate and experienced doctor to join our team implementing Meditech Expanse, a new electronic health record (EHR) system, across our UK facilities. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of oncology care delivery at HCA by ensuring the new EHR effectively addresses the needs of our patients and clinicians. This would suit a Junior Doctor or Consultant on an alternative career pathway, who has a passion for project work and digital transformation. About the Role: As the Oncology SME, you will be a key member of the Meditech Expanse implementation program. You will leverage your deep clinical expertise to ensure the new EHR system optimises workflows, delivers exceptional patient care, and aligns with best practices. This is a full-time role (Monday to Friday 9-5pm) with the option for approximately 2 days a week to work from home. However, there may be times when full in-person weeks in the office are required, depending on the program's needs. What you’ll do: Collaborate with the program team to design and build content specific to oncology within Meditech Expanse. Test and refine oncology-related functionalities within the EHR system to ensure optimal performance and user experience. Integrate oncology workflows into the EHR platform, ensuring seamless coordination between nursing, allied healthcare, finance, and billing departments. Partner sub-teams within the programme to understand joint needs and translate them into actionable configurations within Meditech Expanse. Demonstrate a strong understanding of the needs for oncology patients and how they are currently met within the Mosaiq EHR system. This knowledge will be instrumental in identifying areas for improvement and ensuring a smooth transition to Meditech Expanse. Contribute to the development of comprehensive training materials and pathways for all users of the new EHR system, with a specific focus on oncology functionalities. Proactively engage with stakeholders across oncology departments, keeping them informed of progress and addressing any concerns. Champion the change management process, supporting clinicians and staff during the transition to the new EHR system. What you’ll bring: Registered medical doctor with experience in Oncology. Proven track record of success in a clinical setting, demonstrating a deep understanding of oncology best practices and patient care pathways. In-depth knowledge of the Mosaiq EHR system and its functionalities as used in oncology care. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address potential challenges during implementation. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with colleagues across various departments.
