Senior Engineer – Digital, Frontend
Salary:£61,000-£65,000 dependant on experience

As aSenior Engineer – Digital, Frontend, you’ll play a key role in shaping the digital experiences that help us deliver on that mission. You’ll work on high-traffic, high-impact applications that support millions of users. From collaborating with UX teams to ensuring accessibility and performance, your work will directly contribute to making health happen for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of new and existing digital applications using modern frontend technologies.
- Collaborate with UI/UX teams to ensure a seamless and accessible user experience that meets WCAG 2.2 AA standards.
- Provide technical leadership across projects, guiding best practices in coding, testing, and documentation.
- Work closely with solution designers to break down technical requirements and validate proposed solutions.
- Identify and resolve issues early in the development lifecycle, offering practical solutions to complex problems.
- Drive improvements in development standards, documentation, and internal tooling.
- Take ownership of proof-of-concept development to test and validate new ideas.
- Stay ahead of the curve by exploring new technologies and methodologies that enhance our digital capabilities.
- Act as a go-to expert for frontend development within your domain, supporting colleagues and stakeholders across the business.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who’s not only technically skilled but also collaborative, curious, and passionate about delivering great digital experiences.
You’ll need to bring:
- Strong JavaScript skills, including experience with frameworks like ReactJS, Angular, and Node.js.
- Experience working with CMS platforms, ideally Sitecore.
- Familiarity with task runners and build tools (e.g. Webpack, Gulp).
- A solid understanding of accessibility standards and inclusive design.
- Agile development experience and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams.
- A passion for continuous improvement and a desire to mentor others.
