About the role
Join our Logistics Team in Eastbourne as a Logistics Administrator, where you'll be responsible for managing the daily administrative logistics tasks to ensure smooth and timely shipping of goods in and out of the business.
This position is being offered on a part-time basis, working hours are based on a flexible work pattern but a typical day would be around 9am -
- Act as the primary contact for customs-related queries, ensuring timely submission of documentation and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Support the Supply Chain team with coordinating supplier deliveries into Paxton UK and Inc.
- Track all inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring timely updates to relevant departments, maintaining the logistics calendar, and accurately recording associated shipping costs
- Act as the main point of contact for claims arising from loss of goods, delays in transit etc, raising claims with our carriers and/or insurer, following up to ensure these are paid in a timely manner, and liaising with finance on their status.
- Assist internal teams with parcel shipments, provide basic training where appropriate, and maintain a log of trained staff.
- Provide general logistics support to Paxton Franchise partners and coordinate UK/EU road freight shipments.
- Monitor the logistics mailbox and direct queries to the appropriate team members.
What are we looking for?
- Previous experience within an Administration role is beneficial.
- Strong IT competency, written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organised, ability to prioritise effectively and problem solve.
