As anApplication Support Developer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our systems run smoothly and our users get the support they need. You’ll be the go-to technical expert for resolving complex IT issues, developing solutions, and helping others grow their technical skills. This is a hands-on role where you’ll work across a variety of technologies, support critical systems, and help shape how we deliver IT services across Bupa Global.

Key Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll:
- Act as the technical authority across your domains, keeping your skills up to date and sharing knowledge with others.
- Support and mentor colleagues, helping them grow their technical expertise.
- Design and develop secure, high-performing solutions – either directly or by guiding third-party developers.
- Resolve IT incidents and events in line with SLAs, escalating where needed.
- Investigate root causes of recurring issues and implement long-term fixes.
- Understand business needs and deliver effective technical solutions for IT requests.
- Support the onboarding of new IT systems, ensuring they’re reliable and supportable.
- Communicate clearly with stakeholders and internal customers, keeping them informed and supported.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve issues and improve services.
- Participate in change control and implementation activities.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who’s technically skilled, collaborative, and ready to make an impact. You’ll bring:
- A degree-level background in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- ITIL Foundation certification (or higher) and experience working within an ITIL framework.
- Experience in an IT application support role.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills – you’re confident working with a range of stakeholders.
- Experience mentoring peers or junior colleagues.
- A broad understanding of technologies and frameworks.
You’ll also have expertise in one of the following areas:
- Development technologies: Azure, SOAP/REST, C#, MVC, ASP.NET Web Forms, SQL, JQuery, JavaScript, HTML & CSS
or - Database technologies: PL/SQL, T-SQL, Oracle Reports, SSIS/SSAS/SSRS
Experience working in a matrix-managed environment with contractors and outsourced vendors is a plus.
