As a Singapore In-patient Team Leader, you’ll be at the heart of our clinical operations in the APAC region. You’ll lead a dedicated in-patient team, ensuring that every treatment request is reviewed with care, accuracy, and fairness. This role is key to delivering high-quality service and building our in-house Third Party Administrator (TPA) capabilities.
How you’ll help us make health happen:
In this role, you’ll use your clinical knowledge and market insight to guide treatment decisions and ensure excellent customer outcomes. You’ll:
- Lead the in-patient team to review 100% of in-patient and day-case requests, including surgeon, anaesthesia, and hospital fees.
- Ensure claims are assessed and paid in line with pre-authorisation terms.
- Negotiate with providers to ensure adherence to contractual terms and cost-effectiveness.
- Respond to enquiries from members, providers, and intermediaries with clarity and care.
- Monitor turnaround times and feedback, taking action to improve service where needed.
- Identify opportunities to reduce claim expenses and prevent fraud or abuse.
- Support internal and external reporting, case coordination, and process development.
Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher is preferred
- RN experience (local or overseas) preferred, or at least 1 year in utilisation review within an insurance or TPA environment
- Strong knowledge of medical coding systems
- People management experience is desirable
- Strong stakeholder and project management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills
- Customer-focused, culturally aware, and able to work independently
