LOCATION: Capital One, Nottingham
SHIFT PATTERN: Monday to Friday, 27.5 per week
PAY RATE: £13.44 per hour
ROLE OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE
As cleaning supervisor, you are responsible for the day to day running of the evening shift, ensuring that the shift runs smoothly and all task are completed with the quality at a high standard. Assigning all team members tasks daily and ensuring all areas of work are covered for each shift, reflecting this in the daily planner, the daily is a key tool for planning day to day tasks and passing on key information therefore you must have this completed every day.
You are the first point of call for all evening members of staff to report any issues they come across weather it be work related, building related or personal related, you are required to identify who to report the issue to and the importance of each issue, everything should be reported to your manager in a timely manner, all building issues, first aid etc. Should also be reported to onsite security.
As Supervisor you are responsible for managing team members performance in line with company policy’s these include informal chats, file notes and performance plans, ensure team members time keeping and attendance is monitored, complete lateness forms for unacceptable periods of lateness, complete return to works when a team member returns from unauthorized absence.
Throughout each shift you should maintain constant communication with your team leader through the company issued radios. Use of personal mobile phones on shift is strictly prohibited.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Health and safety – Following all health and safety regulations, enforcing health and safety regulations, and reporting all incidents, near misses and good catches.
· Daily shift debriefs are required, checking for acknowledgement from each team member that they have completed all jobs to a high standard and to receive any feedback from the team good or bad, all feedback should be reported on the daily planner and posted in the WhatsApp group ‘Managers chat’.
· Deep cleaning of areas – you are responsible for ensuring all areas are deep cleaned by the end of each week, carrying out detailed checks of different areas each week and signing off when complete. All areas are expected to be checked within a calendar month, depending on performance issues then some areas maybe required to have extensive checks more frequently.
· Carpet Cleaning – spot carpet cleaning should be completed throughout the week, ensuring all fresh carpet stains are taken care of straight away. Full carpet clean should be completed twice a year, you should have a periodic schedule for carpet cleaning that is to be followed and signed off when each area is completed.
· Survey tools – you are responsible for ensuring all element checks are completed by everyone on your team, knowing which element checks are required to be completed, when they are required and by who. Ensuring that all element audits are signed off and synced at the end of every shift. You are required to complete the monthly machine check audit at the beginning of each month.
· Ontime app – you are responsible for making sure all evening staff members including yourself have confirmed timesheets for the week and synced devices. This must be completed at the end of the shift every Friday or on the last working day of the month.
· Area checks – you are required to check all areas throughout each shift, communicating with staff as and when needed, identifying
performance issues and dealing with them there and then, you are required to keep a log of events when performance issues arise.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
· Supervisor and cleaning experience is essential.
· Ability to communicate at all levels, with good written and spoken English.
· Basic IT skills is essential.
· Ability to work to set schedules and on own initiative.
· Flexible and proactive attitude essential.
· Understanding & knowledge of health and safety policies.
· Needs to represent ABM values on site by being presentable, uniformed, and helpful always Willing to go the extra mile.
· Experience of co-ordinating a range of tasks and individuals.
· Always follow the Company Policies and procedures.
· Confirm that those under their supervision have received training appropriate to their needs and that safety considerations are integrated into this training.
· Ensure that the work environment and equipment are safe and well maintained.
· Identify and correct hazardous conditions.
· Monitor compliance with risk assessments, enforce the control measures and stop anyone who fails to comply.

· IOSHH Managing Working Safely.
· First Aid Certificate.
