Job Title: Independent Reviewing Officer – Child Protection

Pay Rate: £38 per hour
Job Description:
Liquid Personnel is currently recruiting for an Independent Reviewing Officer to join as Chairpersons in the Child Protection team based in Staffordshire.
What will your responsibilities be?
In this role, you will chair Child Protection Conferences and statutory Child in Care reviews, ensuring plans are child-centred, achievable, and compliant with statutory guidance including the Independent Reviewing Officer (IRO) Handbook and Working Together 2023. You will visit children to gather their views, promote restorative practice, and challenge delays using the escalation process. You will monitor Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), Personal Education Plans (PEPs), and Health Assessments, and contribute to quality assurance. Travel across Staffordshire and out-of-county will be required to meet business needs and ensure the child’s voice is central to decision-making.

Qualifications & Experience:
To be successful in this role you must have,
- Social Work England registration
- Eligible to work in the UK
- Hold a full UK driving licence
- Post-qualified experience
- Degree level or equivalent in Social Work
