We’re now looking for a reliable and caring Afternoon Housekeeper & Kitchen Assistant to join our nursery team. This dual role plays a vital part in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and supporting meal service for our Little Learners.

The Role

As Housekeeper & Kitchen Assistant, you’ll ensure a clean, welcoming, and hygienic environment across the nursery while helping with food preparation and kitchen duties.

Housekeeping

• Clean and maintain playrooms, bathrooms, staff areas, and communal spaces to a high standard.
• Carry out daily cleaning tasks: vacuuming, mopping, sanitising, and dusting.
• Disinfect high-touch surfaces and manage laundry for towels and cleaning cloths.
• Replenish essential supplies (soap, paper towels, etc.) and monitor cleaning stock.
• Follow all health, safety, and hygiene procedures.

Kitchen Support

• Assist the Chef during meal service and help deliver meals to nursery rooms.
• Wash and sanitise kitchenware, dishes, and food preparation areas.
• Help with basic food prep and storage of ingredients.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation in line with food hygiene standards. 

About You

Essential:

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Good time management and reliability.
• Friendly and positive team player.

Desirable:

• Experience in cleaning, housekeeping, or kitchen roles.
• Knowledge of food hygiene and health & safety (or willingness to train).
