As a Service Colleague in our food services team, you’ll be at the heart of the customer experience—serving delicious food, keeping the environment clean and welcoming, and making sure every customer leaves happy. Whether you’re preparing food, working the tills, or helping with deliveries, you’ll play a vital role in the smooth running of our branded outlets like Greggs, Subway, and Burger King. Key Responsibilities
Greeting customers and taking sandwich, wrap or salad orders with a friendly, engaging attitude.
Preparing sandwiches, salads and other menu items in line with Subway’s standards of quality, hygiene and presentation.
Operating the till / POS system, handling payments, and ensuring accurate cash‑out (as required).
Maintaining cleanliness of the front‑of‑house and back‑of‑house areas: food prep surfaces, chairs, tables, service area, storage.
Monitoring stock levels, receiving deliveries, and restocking as needed.
Complying with health & safety, food hygiene and food‑storage regulations at all times.
Working as part of a team: supporting colleagues during busy periods, adapting as the store’s needs change.
Flexibility to take on shifts at varying times (7am-8pm) to help maintain the store’s schedule.
What we’re looking for
A positive, friendly demeanour and good communication skills — you’ll be interacting with customers regularly.
Reliability and good time‑keeping: arriving for shifts on time and being ready to work.
Willingness to work flexibly and adapt your schedule to meet store needs (within agreed availability).
Previous experience in retail / hospitality is beneficial but not essential — full training will be provided.
Basic numeracy / money‑handling skills (for till work).
A good standard of personal presentation and the ability to work standing / moving around for the duration of your shift.
