Job title: Site Cleaner
Reporting to: Head of Operations
Location: Witham St Hughs, Lincoln
Overall purpose of the job:
To maintain a clean, hygienic, and safe environment across the office and site facilities through regular cleaning duties. The role supports staff wellbeing and ensures compliance with hygiene and water safety standards.
Key activities:
1. Manage the cleanliness of multiple areas within the site, including the Kitchen/Break areas, Washrooms, Offices/Shared areas and maintenance of equipment.
2. Ensure the Kitchen is tidy and organised, including washing up the cups, utensils, surfaces, and sinks.
3. Manage waste onsite by emptying food waste bins, office bins and other bin locations including wastepaper baskets and shredding bins into outside containers.
4. Maintain the toilet areas, ensuring the cleanliness of the facilities and replenish stocks of toilet rolls and other requirements. This includes the shower cubicle within the accessible toilet.
5. Complete essential cleaning of the facilities, by vacuuming the carpets and mopping floors in offices, reception, and communal areas. Wiping down and cleaning of glass and window frames is also required.
6. Ensure a dust free environment by polishing desks, filing cabinets, ledges, windowsills, and handrails.
7. Perform sanitisation using disinfectant wipes of high-touch areas such as door handles, push plates, stair rails, office equipment including computers, keyboards, telephones, and the signing-in PC.
8. Replenish stocks of cleaning products and necessities needed in different areas of the buildings for use.
9. Check and clean the internal areas of white goods, cupboards and storerooms as needed.
10. Complete spot checks and cleaning of the overall facility focusing on walls, doors, radiators, and filing cabinets as needed.
11. Proactively inspect facilities and equipment for wear and tear, report any excessive damage to the relevant personnel.
12. Ensure the security of the site by closing windows and internal doors, locking the front door, and setting the alarm before leaving the shift.
13. Perform Water Hygiene and Legionella Prevention duties by conducting routine flushing of taps and showers, showerhead disinfection, and water temperature checks in line with procedures. Full training will be provided.
14. Complete training periodically when required in order to perform duties.
15. Liaise with the Head of Operations to monitor stock levels and address shortfalls proactively.

17. To perform any other duties as may reasonably be required from time to time.
Any specific requirements:
Hours - Mon-Fri 5pm-8pm, Driving licence preferred.
Person Specification:
Essential:
• Experience in a cleaning or facilities role.
• High attention to detail.
• Able to manage workload independently and take initiative.
• Trustworthy and dependable with a strong sense of responsibility.
Desirable:
• Experience in office or commercial cleaning environments.
• Familiarity with COSHH and safe handling of cleaning chemicals.
• Willingness to be trained in Legionella control procedures.
