More about your role
We're looking for a passionate and proactive Assistant Service Manager to support the delivery of high-quality supported accommodation for Young People in Blackpool. You'll play a key role in leading and developing a team of Support Workers, ensuring that every young person receives the tailored support they need to thrive.
Working closely with the Service Manager, you'll help oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring services are delivered in line with contractual, safeguarding, and policy requirements. You'll also support the development of strong partnerships with local authorities, social care teams, and other stakeholders to ensure a smooth journey from referral to move-in and beyond.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you will:
- Provide regular supervision, coaching, and training to your team.
- Support the delivery of person-centred support plans for young people with complex needs.
- Ensure tenancy management is proactive, responsive, and trauma-informed.
- Help build a positive, inclusive community within the service and promote integration into the wider community.
- Contribute to service development and identify opportunities for growth in line with regional goals.

You will bring:
- Experience in supported housing, ideally with young people or those with complex needs.
- A strong understanding of safeguarding, risk management, and trauma-informed practice.
- Confidence in leading and motivating teams in emotionally demanding environments.
- A collaborative approach to working with external partners and multidisciplinary teams.
- A commitment to continuous improvement and a passion for making a difference in young people's lives.
