Job Title: Subject Access Request (SAR) Officer

Pay Rate: £32.73 per hour
Job Description:
Liquid Personnel is currently recruiting a Subject Access Request Officer on behalf of our client based in Spennymoor.
Due to increasing demand, our client is seeking to expand its small and dedicated team with an additional Subject Access Request Officer for an initial three-month period. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified social worker with SARs experience to play a key role in ensuring compliance with data protection legislation.
What will your responsibilities be?
- Process Subject Access Requests in accordance with the Data Protection Act and UK GDPR.
- Redact third-party and sensitive information to ensure legal and regulatory compliance.
- Liaise with internal departments to gather and verify relevant documentation.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all SARs activity.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on data protection and information governance.
- Ensure all practices align with council policies and procedures.

Qualifications & Experience:
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A degree or equivalent qualification in Social Work
- Current registration with Social Work England
- Successful completion of the ASYE programme
- Post-qualified experience
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- A full UK driving licence
- Proven experience in handling Subject Access Requests
- Strong understanding of the Data Protection Act and GDPR
- High attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive data securely
- Excellent organisational, time management, communication, and interpersonal skills
